Hey guys, I'm looking at pin-mounting some fibreglass panels on my new car, has anyone done that before? I don't mind making up some brackets etc if necessary, but I really don't know where to start. Any experience with different locking hardware, such as those flush ones that look like they need a flathead driver or a coin to unlock? Some need keys etc. Where should I be looking? Any shops or is the internet the best/only option? Cheers |

Thanks for the quick responses. Yep Max that's what I had in my head. Cheers for the link, but I'll be honest I don't quite get the way they work. Does that lower section just get bolted onto whatever is underneath and the slot in the bottom of the shaft fits around it, and turning it just pulls it through the bayonet kinda track? I probably wouldn't go for those butterfly ones at first glance as it will be a street registered car. The flush ones look pretty neat, do you just use a coin to work them? Does anyone have pictures of setting these up? Or have any advice? I still wouldn't mind playing with one and thinking about whether I can make it work in the different areas of the car before opening my wallet. I'll have to go to a track day and start talking to randoms again |
