Hey guys,
Just wondering if we have anyone that knows much about power steering.
Since my car was off the road for over a year getting the new motor set up, once I got it going my steering seems to be real loose (any small bump in the road or movement of the wheel the the car wants to via off the road)
Just wondering could this just be a issue with air in the system and needs bleeding or something else???

Yours may have speed sensitive steering there's a solenoid on te rack might be jammed open pull it out n give it a clean up shouldn't have air in system if there's fluid in the pump as its the highest point

I know the racks your talking about mate they come out on the vq's. I originally tried to fit one but there wasn't enough clearance for the extractors. I'm running my original rack now from the v6

What's bump steer dude? I've had 3 wheel alignments from different shops in the past to try resolve the problem. Thought it might have been running on the inside edge of the tyres but didn't help

When a tie rod is so far out of wack or alignment is to far out when the car hits a bump it shoots of all over the place that's why it's called bump steer
