Eastside Cruisers

Hey guys,

I've been tossing up the idea of putting my car back into Sleeper Mode. I used to cruise around like this a few years ago and it's pretty cool to slip totally under the radar. Now being slightly crazy like I am it wouldn't be sleeper mode without some benefits coming from each change so I was thinking about doing the following:

- Swapping back to interceptors with hubcaps - Looks totally stock but I have widened 15x8" ones that I can fit wider tyres on the rear with (maybe 255/60/15's etc).
- Putting a bigger rear resonator on the exhaust - Would quieten down the car but I would also like to put electric exhaust cutouts further up the exhaust for when I want to have fun.
- Going back to a standard stall converter - When driving around with the stall unlocked the blower seems to stand out a lot so this would help make the car more unassuming. The current converter is also too big for the overall setup as it's over 1000rpms past peak torque so the car could actually go faster with a stock converter as it could utilise the full torque of the blower. The other benefit is that it would be able to tow the big block Camaro when I buy it in a few years.

Anyway, what do you guys think? I would probably keep the draglites for events and sell off the converter to fund some of these changes.

I really like the idea of sleeper mode! Maybe even drop the rear spoiler and make it look really exec!

Stealth mode means that come Nats time, people will think it is just another Commordore until they hear that whistle.

That means I wont be able to identify you from any other black Commodore on the road.

Don't forget cops just love commodores with interceptors.

mmmmm does that mean that I may end up in Geelong by following a black commordore on a cruise when you guys have gone elsewhere.
You'll have to keep it whistling so I know where I am going.
