Well since Mario is a busy man thought I'll post up the build on his LH TORANA a run down on what i can remember about the car. Those of you that don't know, mario is my uncle. It started life as a neat LH Torana with a stock 253 trimatic. Found it in the trading post at a good price. After a few months he started to get tried of the 253 and always wanted a SLR TORANA as a young bloke so this was his chance to do one after all these years. First was to sorce a full SLR flare kit, get it panted and start fitting it up. With the help of a friends thread rivet gun at his factory they spent some time to fit it all up nicely all with polished alan key bolts. In the mean time mario was looking around for a 308 to build for the new motor and come across a second hand 308 that just had a rebuild but only up to standard specs. Motor then had the top end pulled down alowing for a lager crow cam, new lifters, springs and edelbrock performer manifold. A good family friend of our's thats been building motors since he was a kid pieced together the motor and diled in the new cam. Then in with the new TCE 2800 stall for the trimatic, respray of the engine bay and motor to follow. Its a nice mild set up and has very good power and torque for what it is. It's had a tidy up on the interior and fitted a SLR stearing wheel. Wheels are old school centline style deep dish with the plans on going convo's at a later stage. Mario enjoys heading out with the torana when he can and is living his childhood dreem, Well done mate and keep cruising
