gday all. now first i apoligise for sutch a long post. but this is sorta a colection of other build threads all condensed. so i got my p's in June 2008 and then started looking for a car. ended up with a 1994 ed wagon DEAD stock but clean and tidy, that said it wasn't the car i wanted it was an auto it was a wagon not a panal van... so i kept looking around for a bit then discovered that i couldn't find or aford what i wanted so i went and bought the wagon. needless to say it was just a car to me when i first got it. i didnt care how it looked and didnt even think of upgrades or mods. after a few months she was looking a little worse than she did when i got her. main thing is i had a lil crash with a shed out on a mates paddick... the car coped a few scratches and dints but that was all. so then i really was sick of how it looked with the dints scrapes and it just looked crap. then i was given an ea wagon that was cream. i got that home and decided ide swap over the front end and bonnet.. that didnt look good but i put up with it for a while and put and started playin under the bonet a bit. first was a k&n panal filter and an xh intake snorkel then had to put a new auto in her.. 3rd one. falcon autos seem to not like being driven like a manual. got some king spring lows or superlows out of the ea wagon started trawling ebay and found some 5 leaf king spring superlows for the back had the auto start playing up... again decided it was time for a manual so started saving.. as im not good at saving i then went out and bought a full exhaust. after a while i had the money and a mate with a hoist so i decided ide do the manual conversion. got the kit. swapped the box for a reco t5. and started it. can i say i think thats the best thing ive ever done apart from lowering it. its made it soo much better to drive and so much more fun! after a while at looking at the car like this.. i picked this up for $600! not a bad parts car. the front end has been all resparyed and replaced in 2002! all new ford parts. the other bonus was the inside was spotless! so i quickly started swapping well taking bits off and stripping it down to what i wanted. and after a days work in the sun. much better me thinks. now the rims are a mates who didnt need em and i needed tires. so i was getting pretty sick of em and really didnt ever think they would shine up. so i went a got these. i still dont have a photo of the whole car not with the new wheels. after the wheels i was bored at a mates and decided to make the rear lights a lil darker. changes the whole look of the car i rekon. went to sydney in feb to see topgear live. day before i left got the windows tinted... looks mint. while in sydney visited benj off fordmods and boosted falcon. now since seeing benj's wagon and much lower the front was.. i decided to put some superlows into mine. sorry i dont have a photo. but now i still dont think its low enuf so im gona go for some ultralows. just gota get them. im also getting blocks for the back. on another subject.... i got a crow stage 2 cam...... im in-love again. theres such a differance thru the mid range power and tourqe. now on another sideline..... I FOUND SIDE SKIRTS!!! i had to hunt a little bitbut i got some wagon side skirts.... i blew my motor up and learn't something too.... when a motor has done 300,000k's dont expect to be able to drop a crow stage 2 cam into it without changing anything else and have it run for more than a few weeks. i was told befor that this would happen and i thought "shel b right" then went and baught a 3.45 lsd into the car and i thought while i was at it ide lower the car more........ just in the rear to start with the front will happen in the next week. so i put some 2" blocks ontop of the lowered springs. then came time to get up and fit the skirts. ive had them in the shed for a few months and got sick of not having them on the car so i painted them and fitted them up. and then fitted to the car.... then next was a front bar and then ill start thinking of a rear bar. did end up finding a front bar not long after the skirts. its a tss 3/4 skirt. also lowered the front more so it sits well with the back...... then i got new slotted and drilled rotors for the front and softer pads give it a chance to actualy stop. 2 years ago now i went to a deca skidpan day with hsv owners club and orsm ford cruisers. soooo much fun. i didnt get many photos but ill put a few up. it did finish off my lsd tho..... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-zvtAhjPeio http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=62HYrF9kScE i got new bits... and i must say i think it looks good... just a cool foto i like ive done a little bit.... in april my gf baught me some new numberplates.... and i have changed my sub box too. apart from that it hasent changed really. i had some photos taken tho. it looks good. not showcar but i like it! photos of what happened last night. had sum bloke not give way to oncoming trafic and hit me, not happy to say the least. just a scuff on his car.... car has been ok-ed to get repaired... so its back to moding. ive done a few things this month. first off a blew my diff up 2 weeks ago. so i put a 4wd systems lokka in that was sitting here waiting till it was needed. i must say i like it. it makes a few noises and clunks but it drives great. 2 wheels lock everytime i give it stick. no questions asked no second guessing. love it!! and last night spent some time under the car putting the new tailshaft in. the night i had the bloke run into me i picked up a 2 piece tailshaft and ive just not had time since the prang to get it in the car. so i spend a hour under there and got it in last night. do you think i needed it? we painted the old one red a while ago to see where it rubs...... and the new! i didnt get a photo but theres a bracket over the top of the tunnel i had to take the center bump stop out. but thats is HAMMMERED!!! but now for photos.. ive got the rear lowered by 4" all up when the poliair bags are deflaited and now with it dumped i dont need them pumped up at all. and driving now its getting the front fixed and ill have it back for the deca day. |

hi Sean, are you still coming to next ESC mtg on 27th Oct to join up and hand in forms for DECA? This is the final day for payment for DECA and you need to be an ESC member for DECA - if you can't make the meeting you can post in the forms and EFT the payment, let me know if you need the bank account details. cheers, eric. |
