Borg warner diffs are pretty strong. There are 9 second VL commodores still still running BW diffs.
I also measured the axle diameter once, and they're the same size as a 9 inch axle.

For Sale: Borg Warner diff to suit LC/LJ Torana Complete - ready to bolt in All work professionally done by Keysborough Diffs Mini spool 28 spline axles 3.23 ratio Disc brakes Slotted rotors Torana stud pattern It is standard R31 Skyline length, so that means its about 20mm longer than std Torana length either side. This is not a problem with the right offset wheels. I used ordinary 14" or 15" steel volvo rims without any problems. I also have some custom widened (15x8") volvo rims, which I can sell too if interested. does it come with brand new wheel studs does any one no how much power the borgies can take a mate of mine has just dropped a 383 into a lj i think he might have trouble with the 10 bolt he has in it |

I still have a bit of work to do! To fit the new tyres I need to do some mini-tubbing. But I've bolted the new diff if for now. But as you can see, it sits like a 4WD because the tyres hit on the inner guard. |
