Eastside Cruisers

Lots of new people joining lately.... about time to give this thread a bump...

G'day thought i better introduce myself, signing up to eastside cruisers this year for the first time although i have met a few of you before and been on some clubruns. My names kris, i'm a panel beater who used to work with leigh at LP bodyworks. I'm a holden fan but love any classic car, i have two toranas a lx slr 5000 and a lx hatch in need of resto. Slowly getting work done on the hatch and collecting parts to finish it but finding the spare time and cash is a bit of a problem sometimes.. Would love to take it to summernats one year and have some fun with it. There was a bit of a joke going around work that i had to shoo the chickens out of the hatch when i bought it which wasn't far from the truth, i dragged it out of a paddock in bright lol! looking very sad yet nearly rust free! heres some pics cheers.

Great to finally see pics of the hatchback, I'd only heard about it through Leigh.

I love the look of RUF IDL, what an awesome machine. Before I sold my hatchback I had similar plans... here's another similar car for more motivation! Tough call though - flares or no flares...

Welcome! I have similar plans for my SS when I finally get around to restoring it! All original looking Antelope paint, but with a sweet engine and wheels!

WELL, Nick here, 22 im a mechanic and currently allll the way over in the UK but hopefully some time next year i wont be, i have some family in Melbourne and im in love with pretty much every car on here so i thought i would say hello

Now the car, 1992 BMW 316i with 1.9 140bhp engine running on LPG, and a few other mods, its pretty marmite so im sure you will hate it, i like the attention i get from it though

I have also had a few older cars though, including a Series 3 landrover with a discovery engine and 16 gear combinations and a 1275cc MG Midget
