What are your tips about storage a car over a period of time???
For me I covered it up with a car cover in my garage and start it once every month or 2...


Also if you knew it was going to sit for some time, maybe years what are your tips???

or you could try drinking a cup of this stuff Matt and pull those covers off the fairlane and get it out there!!

Id just keep starting it every month or two like you have been just dont let it turn into 3-4 months ect, If valve springs sit compreesed in the one spot for too long they can loose a bit of tenstion at that compressed point . It is important to warm the car right up and i mean to 180deg needs to get hot to burn off any condensation, Or you may need to flush your oil. As much as i like to cover my car it is also important that it can breath, so if there is a way of tieing the cover up say a few strings of the roof ect so air will flow between the paint and cover, otherwise just make sure your cover is one that will breath well. and dont put stuff on top of the cover. I have seen a few cars develop paint blisters over time becouse of moisture being traped between the cover and paint

If you sure its going to sit for a few years you could undo your rocker gear seal up your rocker cover breathers , air cleaners, dump your fuel and just turn it over for a bit every 2 -3 months, and also jack car up so tyres dont devlop flat spots
