The main task is to keep this torana on the road!! Brock came home in it from hospital, and the next one at this stage will too. But brock only got about 2 trips in it before daddy blew the motor up and then 2 yrs later got it back on the road!! So we don't want that happening again!!

regarding natts, we will get there one year, as brocks bday usually co-insides with the weekend. But if anyone wants to volunteer to babysit two kids whilst up there, ill book our accomodation now!! hehe.

And lastly u wont see lxchev towing anytime soon, no towbar, droptank looks a tad better than a big tow bar!!

Mild heart attack last week..... drove the beast home from the ESC AGM and oil pressure gauge was suddenly showing between 10 and 20 PSI, whereas it usually sits around 40 - 60PSI.

I was mentally preparing myself to pull the engine and embark on a rebuild after only clocking up 3,000km's so far on this engine. But after fitting up a mechanics oil pressure gauge, the pressure was steady at around 65 - 70PSI cold, and still holding 60PSI warm. You bewdy!!!

The electric gauge will finally be coming out, and I'll be fitting an old fashioned mechanical one now. I'm converted

Getting itchy to race the car too.... no high hopes, but just wanna get it on the race-track.

Order the larger caperillar line ( or however the spell it ) more quicker response on oil pressure .

What a relief!

I bought a braided line for my oil gauge... It's instantly responsive, looks good and won't break like the crappy copper or plastic lines!

After hearing story's like this makes me want to replace my electrical oil gauge for a mechanical one! Good to hear it was only the gauge/sender Brett.

Fitted up the new mechanical oil pressure gauge last week. I'd always planned to ditch the plastic tubing that comes with these things, and run a braided line. The boys down at Vic Speed Pro hooked me up with all the nice fittings, and I ended up making my own -3 braided line with A/N fittings, so it's easily removable etc. Came up a treat, and the new gauge works awesome. Being a full sweep gauge (as opposed to the old electric one which was only 90 degree sweep) - it's heaps more responsive too.

I ended up getting the liquid filled version too.. which look awesome. And if I ever turn the Torana into a Top Doorslammer, the gauge will handle the vibration!!!
