Hi guys,

After a price-check here - hoping there might be some collectors amongst us to give me an idea on what kind of price I should be asking for the following sign..

It's a 3 piece garage / servo workshop type of sign. 7.8m long, and made from 1/2" thick fibrous-cement type sheeting. 400mm high. Has mounting holes. This is from the Golden Fleece era (pre-Caltex).

Has some paint worn away, but that's half the appeal for these type of collectables right!

Any ideas??

These old signs can be worth good money but all depends on the rarity of the sign ect.. Maybe just put it on ebay at a price that seems fair and see what happens, or call up shannons and they may be able to sugest a value and aution it off for you. Worth paying them a fee if your goimg to get top $$ At aution.

Yeah thanks Charlie. If the sign was a 'brand name' such as Mobil or something, I'm sure it'd be worth some coin. I don't have high hopes for this one, but just want to make sure I don't give it away if it is worth something.
