Tim's HG Prem Wagon

Year: 1970
Colour: Canary Yellow (is a PPG colour) with Bright Silver metallic GMH4133 roof with this also in the engine bay with GMH chassis black mixed in.
Specs: Motor: Original HG red 253 Block (not from this car) is up 0.010" ; VC Brock inlet manifold (since placed standard 5L manifold back on as the Brock one split and started to leak car down approx 15HP due to this); TQ30 cam; Standard hydraulic lifters and blue Brock extra strong push rods; HQ stage three Yella Terra Heads; Double valves springs are installed and hardened seats cut into the heads. (Titanium valves have been installed (dont ask I know not why); :7 ratio slipper rockers have been installed (again not sure why surely rollers would have been better???); running 9.8:1 compress and the standard point dizzy; 11.5mm ignition leads and a msd coil; VN Alloy rocker covers found there way onto the motor as did a Big element air filter; Carby is a Edelbrock 4105 and is 600 CFM in sizing (4 barrel) spent 4 hours learning how to tune this baby... gee I love Rochesters this thing might get the flick yet, it is nicely polished though....) Nice this is that it is manual choke.:D; Pacemaker tri Y extractors deliver the gases out to the back (twin system 2" straight through. Suspension: The suspension is Pedders lowered 6 cylinder springs in front and rest 2" lower rears (also taken down some more by 1.5" lowering blocks; Front end has been toyed with to allow the front to have better camber and aid turn in more. Drivetrain: The box is a Later model VH 308 trimatic (has the extra clutch packs and the better valve body spring set; The rear is standard HG banjo running a set of 2.78 gears (should be a slug but this baby does know how to tango). Rolling stock: Monaro BIG brake kit (read 3mm spacer and thicker discs than standard) with standard drums rear; The rims are stock HK Monaro (originals) sprayed in Bright silver metallic to match the roof the rears are 225's while the fronts wear 175's. Interior: The interior has got the original door skins still and dash crash pad (starting to show their 37 years of age but still in really good original condition The original bench seats have been retained and recovered with grey velour with Yellow inserts to match the car colour, will all wrapped up with a aqua piping; It still runs the original dash and currently still only has 27,000 original miles on the clock(in the last 5 years the car has done 6,000 km's (more on average in the last 5 years then the average for the rest of the cars life); Carpet is still the original. Notable specialities: Airbrushed rear tailgate; flames underbonnet (sorry stickons :S). Wish list: replacement teal carpet; modified and rebuild Brock Rochester quadrajet; reworked VC Brock manifold (inlet); complete engine bay overhaul (still not tidy enough there is some wiring that can be seen); seriously considering a T5 but cannot see a tasteful way installing it; a Better stealth install remote controlled audio system; Better front lights; Electric tailgate; maybe flames on the front; toying with the idea of pop out rear windows (aka SAAB Aero or XU1 toranas); Long-range fuel tank; disc brake rear end.
