Well although this wasn’t an official club cruise, quite a few people rocked up for some tyre smoking Sunday street meet action. It was a nice day to be out and there was quite a good turn-out. With scrutineering beginning around 9am, everyone was up nice & early to get out there. Racing began around 10 and went thick & fast the whole day. Some guy on a bike decided to fall off backwards after a pretty decent mono, but appeared un-injured. As for club members, no-body broke anything, blew anything up, or hit anything! Not only that, but every single one of them ran a personal best.
What a fantastic effort by everyone & congratulations guys on some great times. We are now plotting an annual drag day which will most likely be early in 2003 sometime, so keep your eyes open for that one! I can’t wait to get my car out (when it’s finally running right!!), and I’m sure there’ll be heaps more out there to see what they’re capable of. - Brett (Shubes) |
