Steavenson Falls

15th September 2002

Well, after meeting at 11:30am at Club Kilsyth, we had 13 cars ready for some serious cruising fun up through Marysville to Steavenson Falls. No hiccups on this one (Yes, I am still fixing my LJ!), we left at 12:00pm cruising up Canterbury Rd through Montrose, Lilydale, and then out onto the open rd along the Maroondah Hwy.

We pulled over in Coldstream to make sure everyone was all there – it was great to see Ado’s Dad pull a wicked car manoeuvre, thereby allowing us all to simultaneously pull back out onto the road (thereby blocking the traffic!!) For me, that was fantastic – seeing a line of shiny (and often tough) cruisers is such a buzz! The fact we could pull it off again is a testament to the enthusiasm of the members (well done!).

We stopped in Marysville for a quick bite to eat (some of us had some serious munchie issues to attend to), before heading out to the falls. Talk about a view! I actually realised that up until that point, I had never seen a real waterfall before – for those that didn’t make it, it is well worth the cruise! We had some lunch (more munchies), before taking a stroll to take in the scenic views. A big thank you to all those who attended the day – it was great to see some new cruisers turn up to the event (one red baron in particular). Let’s see how many we can get to the next event – the Dromana drive-in!
