McHappy Day – Bayswater McDonald’s

19th November 2005

Even though this was not an official club run, the friendly staff down at Bayswater McDonald’s had asked for a small handful of cars to come down for a basic display on the grass outside the front. Pretty much right on Canterbury Rd, it was certainly a prime piece of real-estate and made for a cool show! Several of us rocked up mid-morning and proceeded to position the cars on the grass. Throughout the next few hours, a few other cars appeared and joined in too. We all had a bit of a chat, and of course a few Big Mac’s were on the menu to support McHappy Day! The cars certainly helped to grab the attention of passing traffic, and by early afternoon we finished up and headed home. Thanks to Liz for organising the day.

All up, there were 7 club cars on display, plus the trusty old Torana BBQ trailer.
