Winter Night Cruise

28th June 2006

It was a good turnout to the night cruise considering it was on a school night. We all met at the Club Kilsyth car park at about 7:30pm and left at about 8. There were about 20 cars on the night and the weather, although cold, held up for us. We headed out through Ferntree Gully and made our way up the mountain. There was some spirited driving through the twisties and I remember seeing the FTO's headlights very close to my rear bumper on many occasions. Luckily for me we caught up to some traffic and the cruise took a more sedate pace after that. (Note to self, make your bloody car handle!!!)

We had a short stop on the other side of Monbulk to regroup and then headed down to Mt Evelyn, through Lilydale and onto the Maroondah hwy. I thought Chris in his SS was going to get beached on the train line in Lilydale his car is that low!!! I think the fuel tank only cleared by millimetres.

The traffic lights along the hwy bunched the cars up nicely again and then we cruised through Croydon and ended at Bayswater Macca’s. Overall it was a good cruise and it was great to see Simon flogging Kath's Ute while she wasn't there. (Ha ha ha, just kidding).
