3rd Annual DECA/Motorkhana Day - DECA Skidpan, Shepparton

Sat 21st July 2007

Hey all you Peanuts, I just wanted to say I had one of the best days at DECA and I didn't even have my car there, so I really have to give thanks to John, Jimmy, Scott, Paul and Stormy. If you guys where not there it would have been my worst day at a club event, but lucky enough it was the best fun I have had in cars in about 8 months. I also had the sh*t job of testing the tracks to see if they where a reasonable length or not Damn that sucked, He he he!

I never knew this club had so many good drivers. And quite a number of Exciting Nutcase's to watch and to give you a bit of a head-ache if you were like me and had a few drinks the night before.

The day ran like clockwork and I think we did a great job. A special thanks goes out to Kath who only left the skidpan to have lunch. That is much appreciated. Thanks to the peeps on the committee who helped organise accommodation, taking money at the gate and general running of the whole event, also to all the members who lent a hand.

The results are still getting finalised but won't be far away. I think we have the potential to maybe run two DECA days a year and with enough support I'll be Big Kev excited. All entrants will receive a full copy of the results soon too.

Part 2

I had so much fun that I nearly wet myself, the first year I've entered and been happy with the way my car was running, stoked in fact, great day for it too. I was one of the many that drove up Friday and stayed at the Caravan Park the whole weekend and boy did I have some fun, from drinking games to trying to unload my car and getting Dad's Ute bogged on concrete, and to making the most of Friday night / Saturday morning drinking along with Gav then struggling to get up at 7am. All in all I had a ball and would highly recommend it again in the not to distant future.
