Stormy's Night Cruise (Following Knox Car Show)

Tues 13th November 2007

The Knox cruise night was a huge success with cars completely filling more than half of the Cage. There was a massive variety of cars as well as a very high standard of cars which I thought was impressive. One thing I was slightly disappointed by though is that we didn't have a designated area to park our club cars and show off our club more, maybe this can be arranged for the next one.

After the show had finished we all met up the back of the cage for Stormy's night cruise, also a good turnout of over 30 cars. After receiving the directions we all met in a service lane on Burwood Highway to regroup and to head out. We then headed out towards Lysterfield, and through Belgrave South. Thanks to Bec for navigating because I had no idea where I was half the time, and with the old Torrie going slowly around some of the tight, twisty back roads, trying to avoid the tyres scrubbing, we were easily falling behind.

Then we came out at Tecoma where we met up with the leaders and I remember seeing Stormy jump out of the car and push the crossing button at a set of lights so we could all pull out together. Then you see him running like a kid to an ice cream van back to the car before it leaves. We then drove down to the Ferntree Gully club room carpark where some people did not turn up because of an alternator problem in the red Mustang.
