A very short meeting was held in February, to try something different - the reason, to go cruising & socialise! As usual the meeting started at 8:00pm, but in world record time, it was all wrapped up by 8:30pm. So it was straight out into the carpark to get organised. Stormy handed out some directions for his 'Mystery Cruise' - and before too long we set off with a huge amount of cars and people in attendance. The cruise itself was spot-on. Nice and direct and not too long. We finished up in Wantirna, parking our rides at Macca's, before walking over the other side of Boronia Road for what else but some COLD ROCK ICE CREAM!! For those who haven't been before - the Cold Rock Ice Creamery have a motto - "Choose It, Mix It, Smash It". You get to choose your favourite type of ice cream, then add in lollies, chocolates, biscuits, fudge, fruit, nuts, whatever you want, and they then proceed to smash it all up on a cold slab of marble, creating your one of a kind ice cream! Being a pretty popular place, and rocking up with the better part of 20 or 30 people meant some waiting in line, but it was well worth it. We all kicked back sitting outside talking about ice cream and cars. No one was in a hurry to leave, so before we knew it, it was getting late. People gradually cruised off heading back home again. Top night, great to see several new members along, and well done to Stormy for putting the night together! Catch ya's on the next cruise. - Brett |
