Well it was that time of year again for a pub lunch cruise. It was up to Dave to organise the cruise and lunch spot. With the new Eastlink open it was time to head off from Garfields for a great cruise followed by lunch. We headed onto Ferntree Gully Road and onto a very busy Eastlink. Wow! What a great sight to see it being open since 12am it was exciting to see what has been going on there for so many years. There was a car crash in the middle lane which made it hard to keep the club together and gave us time to look around. The tunnel is the highlight of the Eastlink. So many V8’s in one tunnel made a very cool rumble! I would name all the roads and directions we took but it would take forever. This was the longest cruise I have ever been on with the club. After a few chances to re group we headed off to our destination for lunch. We arrived at the Woori Pub which saw a few locals having a “quiet lunch” wondering what all the fuss was about, and the staff puzzled that there were an extra 20 people or so. The food was fantastic. Parma was made with bacon..... not ham!!! Yummmmmm! The best I have ever had! After a long chat, great food and a couple of coldies we were off home. Thanks to everyone who turned up it really makes a cruise. - Dale |
