March Night Cruise (Following Knox Car Show)

Tues 11th March 2008

With the Knox City car shows getting bigger & better each month, more and more people have been asking to go cruising afterwards, so thanks to Dale for putting together what ended up being a very cool night cruise on a nice warm night! Departing from Knox sometime shortly after 8:00pm, we re-grouped in the big slip-lane on Burwood Highway.

Due to the last minute decision to run this cruise, it wasn't a massive turnout, but still a very solid 10 - 15 cars. The cars that did come out to play though were real grunters! It was dead-set one of the most fun cruises I've been on in a long time. Strapped into my blue Torana, Dave's blown Monaro was whining away, making we want a blower more than ever. Scotty's Monaro was sounding schmick alongside Grant's SS hatchback. With all the cars in the entire group managing to stay in single line convoy, we stayed bunched up nicely. Starting from Knox, we found ourselves heading down High Street Rd, onto Stud and Kellets as we headed for Lysterfield and Wellington Rd.

Cruising all along Wellington Rd at night in convoy was ace. We hit the big roundabout and hung a leftie for Belgrave and some twisty, winding roads. Coming back down via Tecoma, we hit the home stretch and headed for our usual final meet point of Anaconda in Baysy. I think a few other car clubs were out that night too, and they were all in the same carpark, there were cars and people everywhere! Ten out of ten for the cruise route Dale!
