We all meet at Bayswater Bunning's on a freezing cold, raining night with about 10-12 cars and the promise of good food at the end. Once we decided that we were sufficiently cold and hungry enough we piled into our respective cars and headed on our cruise. We took a rather scenic route (and not surprisingly enough a group of us got lost..... again) though Mitcham, Nunawading, Box Hill & The Yarra Boulevard and eventually ending up at Doncaster Pancake Parlour. We all stuffed our faces with very yummy pancakes, shared our respective tales of the drive there and eventually all headed off our separate ways home to warm heaters and electric blankets for the night. Thanks to D.C and Gav for planning the once again proven popular cruise. - Kath It was a cold, wet and miserable night which may have turned a couple a people off, but on the bright side we were heading to Pancake Parlour to warm up. The cruise was a good drive however I would like to apologise to all those cars that were following me, as I decided to take the wrong route. I was not aware that there was 2 High Streets so I took the first one we came across leading everyone on a wild goose chase. After re-grouping we got back on track with someone else leading that actually knew where they were going. We eventually met up with the rest of the group at the Yarra Boulevard re-grouping point as they kindly waited for us. We arrived at the Pancake Parlour, grabbed a seat, placed our orders and the conversation and laughter just rolled. Overall there were roughly about 12 cars that came out and braved the weather. It was a good night and something that could be held a bit more regularly. Thanks to Gav and Dc for organising the run. (There were photos taken but due to the weather and lack of light they didn’t turn out) - Renee |
