I have a newsletter! I will go look it up! Posting it up somewhere is always good though. Just in case paper gets lost or someone doesn't have the newsletter! Got to use the sponsors so they continue to sponsor!

Quick question. I was just checking out the 1/4 mile leader board, is there any particular reason why the fastest club car is no longer listed? There are non member cars still listed, plus non member cars that have also been sold, but you've archived for posterity only certain vehicles.
I feel it's a bit strange to only list some cars and not others...

When we first setup the 1/4 mile leaderboard, I introduced the following:

** Denotes a car that has since been sold (but is still included in the list for History's sake)

However at some stage since I left the committee, this has now been removed and is no longer used. Personally I like to see previous members cars (or sold cars) still listed for history sake (eg. Dee's old RX7 that ran 10.2, or Tizzle's gold tonner etc etc)...

Maybe it could be re-introduced and modified to say something like:

** Denotes a car that has since been sold or was a previous member (but is still included in the list for History's sake)

This is for the current committee to decide though, and if they only want the current active members listed, then cool.

If that's the case, then yes - it's definitely due for another cleanout as I'd guess at least 20% of the list is probably out-dated. This is another reason why I like keeping the historical entries, as it keeps the list longer, rather than only having say 20 cars. Quick question - do the old entries that are deleted, get recorded anywhere, or are they just deleted forever??

I noticed that Brett (SS) bought this up in the drag day thread, asking if any more cars should be removed etc... so this needs to be chased up by the committee so they can compare the list against the current active member list and go culling.

Keen to hear everyone's thoughts...

Just to throw another idea up too... you could always have another leaderboard underneath the current one, and use it to track club history. It's more admin work for someone though which is always a pain in the ass.

could have 2 lists, one for current members/current cars and one for past members/current members sold cars.

I've been keeping the list up to date for the last year or so as it's an interest of mine and in that time I haven't removed any entries yet. I like the idea of having the 2 lists though, one for the current members rides and a historic one for all the retired cars/previous members etc.

As a trial I've added a second list to the bottom of the 1/4 mile leaderboard which lists previous members/rides etc. Does that look like it will work? If so we can go back and add the previous rides that have been taken off the list in the past.

I've had a look back through the hall of fame and added the ones that weren't in the list to the previous members/rides section. Are they the ones you were thinking of Max?

Any others that people know of that need to be added?

IMHO, I'd run a single list with all current and previous members/cars, but I'd run current members in say all black and non members in a different colour.
Wouldn't that make the list easier to maintain rather than having two completely separate lists? If you look at the current list there is more that should be culled, hence why I thinkg one list would look better.
I can also add another few times on the ex rides/members list if you wish.
